With the possibility of impending floods, now is a good time to check
you emergency radio gear. Although it is unlikely that we will
experience a loss of communication, anything is possible.
Now is a good time to check your usual emergency gear. In addition,
make sure your radio batteries are charged, and that you have alkaline
batteries for you battery packs.
In the event of loss of communication, or a declared emergency, please
tune to the following frequencies:
Main: 2 meter repeater: 147.820 -
Backup: 2 meter simplex (in the event the repeater is down): 147.500
HF: 3.900 LSB
For those with wide band receive on their 2m radios, you can receive
weather reports on:
162.400 FM
I can be reached at home at 227-5436, or on my cell at 461-7283
