Weather map

Another winter system will push into the region tonight into Friday.
Winter Weather Advisories are out across much of central and north
central Montana with 4-8 inches of snow expected at the higher
elevations, and 2-4 inches possible across the lower plains. Central
Montana may need to have the advisory extended in time some as
occasional snow may continue into early Saturday. Rocky Mountain Front
region may see 6-12 inches through Friday.

Snow map

Arctic air will push back into the region Friday, with highs in the
lower single digits to 5 below zero. Temps Saturday very cold with highs
nearly 5 or 15 degrees below zero, with morning lows near or less than
20 below zero. Dangerous wind chills in the 25 to 40 degrees below zero
range. One possible good signal today was the possibility of slight
moderation of temps faster on Sunday now, but this would be ahead of
another shot of decent snows of 2-4" or more possible late Sunday into
Monday.

Will continue this late afternoon emails as advisory criteria events
occur, with warning or watch criteria events will have goto meeting
briefings. If you need additional information see the Hazardous Weather
Outlook
